TVS Motor Company is making a grand entry into the 300cc adventure motorcycle space with the launch of TVS RTX 300 today. This new motorcycle marks TVS’s debut in one of the fastest-growing segments in India – the adventure touring category.
Performance and specifications
According to TVS’s official site and other sources, the Apache RTX 300 features a new RT-XD4 platform designed for adventure and touring.
- Engine: 299.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve engine.
- Power: 36 PS at 9,000 rpm.
- Torque: 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm
- Transmission: 6-speed manual gearbox.
- Braking: Dual-channel ABS, which is switchable at the rear for off-road riding.
- Suspension: WP-sourced 41mm USD (upside-down) front forks and a monoshock at the rear. The BTO variant offers adjustable suspension.
- Weight: 180 kg kerb weight.
- Fuel Tank: 12.5 litres
- Key features The RTX 300 comes with a number of features, with the Top and BTO variants including more advanced technology.
- TFT display: A 5-inch TFT cluster with TVS SmartXonnect for features like turn-by-turn navigation, ride analytics, and GoPro controls.
- Riding modes: Four riding modes—Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally—that adjust engine response, traction control, and ABS settings.
- Cruise control: Available on Top and BTO variants.
- Bi-directional quickshifter: Available on Top and BTO variants.

- Lighting: Twin Class D symmetrical LED headlights with signature DRLs and dynamic headlamp intensity control that adapts to speed. Built-to-Order (BTO): TVS’s BTO program offers customization options, including adjustable suspension, brass-coated chain, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
- Variants and pricing The TVS Apache RTX 300 is available in three variants, with introductory ex-showroom pricing announced at its launch.
- Base variant: Starts at approximately ₹1.99 lakh.
- Top variant: Starts at approximately ₹2.14 lakh.
- Built-To-Order (BTO) variant: Starts at approximately ₹2.29 lakh.
